I Dream of Jeannie

I Dream of Jeannie starred by Barbara Eden as a 2000-year-old Jeannie, and Larry Hagman as an astronaut who finds Jeannie in a bottle on a desert island during an aborted space assignment and becomes her master, with whom she falls in love and eventually marries.

One of the great minor pleasures of TV.. Nostalgic :)

ME ^_^

Like every individual, I am on a never ending search of happiness and settlement. There is so much in my life I want to do but don’t have time to execute. Well, what I want to do in my life is changing constantly. First, when I was a little kid, I wanted to dance and act. I grew up and my liking shifted from a dancer to a teacher. I started studying using a blackboard, chalks and duster, thereby enjoying the feeling of a teacher and teaching students. I used to wear mom’s dupattas and her high heel sandals. Lolzz.. And then that sort of developed into a journalist and now that's changing even now. I am a project manager right now, working with Creative Lipi.
Odd combination, but I like it. :)

I did my pre-schooling from Springdale’s School. Then my parents admitted me to DAV Public School, Sector-14 Faridabad. Enjoyed School life! Mathematics attracted me during my school days and so I decided to make a career in teaching maths, however, the dream shattered by just two marks …. I failed to get admission in Math’s honors in Delhi University. The determination to stay connected with teaching lead me to give tuitions. Waise to I am giving tuitions since when I was in class 8 ;) Yea! That’s true. Well after not getting admission in math’s owners, I decided to go for mass media and joined 2 year diploma course in Journalism and Mass Communication. Besides this, I completed graduation in B.com from Delhi University. After a long theoretical college life, it was the time for an ultimate practical showdown. Got internship in Total TV News channel and it also marked the beginning of my new life as a JOURNALIST. I enjoyed going out, attending press conferences, writing scripts… In short, I was enjoying my new career as a Reporter. 6 months later, I got an opportunity to work in "Nav Bharat Times" newspaper as a freelance Journalist. It was a challenging task. Initially, I faced many problems like hindi typing, scripting for a Hindi newspaper and so on but with the god’s grace and some good friends I got a good grip on my work. After Nav Bharat Times, I worked for a local newspaper named "Voice of Faridabad" and then shifted my focus from Print to Electronic Journalism and joined "TV 100 news channel" as an Assistant Producer. It was a totally new experience for me coming straight from Print to Electronic but I got myself adapted to the change and started enjoying my new responsibilities. I made many new friends and enjoyed working with them. I learnt a lot new things there. I use to love seeing anchors dressing up, reading news, especially there make-over’s. Soon I generated some interest in voice over’s and started doing voice over for my news channel. I got some good complements for my voice so I planned to go for RJ and joined Jamia Millia Islamia and did Radio Journalism.. I know it is a bit funny but yes I did that..:) . After few months of experience with TV 100 I joined Channel One National News Channel as a producer of an entertainment programme named Andaz-e-Bollywood. Those were the best days of my life. Perhaps, it was a lifetime experience for me and I still miss those days…. Bollywood used to rule my 9 hour shift… finding out new bollywood news stories, collecting visuals, getting them edit and finally broadcasted… Phew… That was something challenging ;) Jokes apart, I met with people I always dreamt of – Shahrukh Khan, Sonu Nigam and many more. Loved it! But But But is dimakh ka kya kare tikta hi nahi hai ek jagah, I left that job bcoz I wanted to study more in Journalism and I took admission in MA Mass Communication. Sometimes I think I can be a good TV Anchor and may be in future you can see me on TV. :)

Basically, my career path is drawn, but not definite. All the things I want to do are somehow related in a weird way. Anyways, since Feb, 2010, I am working with Creative Lipi, was appointed as a writer but soon was shifted to another team and from a writer I became an SEO Executive.  I got second time lucky and was shifted back to my original team but this time as A MANAGER ;) not writer. OMG! AGAIN I am lovin my work!!!!

Well to earn some more calories, I am doing a business of homemade chocolates. I make them at home, decorate them and sell them to chocolate lovers. :)

Though I have strong ties with very few friends, but my family comes first for me. My family, especially my mom and bro are my soul and I can't live without them. I lost my dad when I was 13. Of course I miss him so badly. He is always there in my mind and will be a super star in my life. For better or for worse, consistently they shape me for who I am today, and even if I disappoint them or make them go crazy, they will still love me and I just feel the same for them. I love my mom the most.

I love to dance in front of a mirror and I never get tired of it. I jussssssstttt love it. I love to watch movies. Romantic, Comedy, Suspense, or any good one. Even I can watch some movies again and again though I do, like Rang De Basanti, HAHK, DDLJ, HSSH and many more. Next I am very much fond of driving. I am afraid of it but I just love it. I love shopping as well.. For me, kapde jitne ho utne kam. And yes I love travelling as well. I can pack my bags very fast just to go out for fun and enjoyment. I love to take my pictures and watching them as it makes me feel happy. OMG! Yes there are actually so many things I love.

And finally, I am a crazy, never ending ;), outgoing and social being.

The End =)
